The Utah Medical Orchestra (UMO) is a community ensemble specifically for the medical community in the Salt Lake City area. It is primarily comprised of healthcare providers, staff, researchers, and students at University of Utah Health, Intermountain Healthcare, and other local clinics and hospitals. The Utah Medical Orchestra rehearses weekly and performs two concerts per year, which are open to the public. 

 

The UMO regularly partners with Music in Medicine, a medical student-led initiative at the University of Utah that aims to explore the connection between music and healing. Through Music in Medicine, members have opportunities to volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital to share music with patients and their families.
